Isabel was born in country Victoria. After finishing high school Isabel moved to Melbourne and graduated in medicine from the University of Melbourne. Isabel was a General Practitioner for over 10 years and this gives her a broader understanding of people’s health issues. The change to Ophthalmology took a great deal of commitment and Isabel was rewarded with a training position at the world-renowned Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne. Isabel found the ophthalmology training to be a wonderful experience.
As a country girl Isabel planned to live and work in a regional centre. After looking at various locations in Victoria and Queensland, Isabel happily chose Bundaberg and enjoys being part of the local community.
Apart from general eye health, Isabel has a number of areas of special interest. These include cataract surgery, macular degeneration, glaucoma, eyelid surgery and therapeutic Botox injections.
