Vishal commenced a Senior Medical Officer role at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Apr 2019 as a Lead for Nutrition services for Queensland (whole area north of Brisbane river, and hence expertise in telehealth too). He is interested in other gastroenterological disease processes and his job also includes endoscopies, and general gastroenterology clinic.
Prior to emigrating to Australia, Vishal was a consultant in Gastroenterology in Lancashire, UK (North of Manchester) for 16 yrs. During his tenure there, he was a member of Practitioners Tribunal Service organized by the GMC, a clinical Advisor to Healthcare Parliamentary Ombudsman and a Royal College Tutor. In addition to completing a MA in Healthcare Law and Ethics, he is a Fellow of American Gastroenterology Association and member of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh
